On His Birthday
By Charlene James-Duguid

Dive bar devotee
His eye for unusual,
A sense of different

From conventional
To avant he sees the world
Not jaded, jaundiced,

Never stymied or
Subdued, he crashes through life
Takes on all comers

Welcomes the magic
Treasures the bizarre, my John,
Celebrates all days.

    Very nice serial haiku.
Please substitute nor for or after stymied, third stanza.
