Because Boots
By AJ Huffman

are made for walkin’ (according to Nancy
Sinatra), I stockpile them. In case I lose
my job and my car gets repossessed. At least
that’s this week’s justification.

Last week I forced myself to buy several pair
of heeled variety, because, as women, we tend
to shrink with age, and I have
always enjoyed my five-foot-eight status.

Maybe next week, I will get the furry ones. After
all it is almost December, and I heard it did snow
in Florida. Once.
